Marine plants including algae produce around 70 and 80 percent of the oxygen in the atmosphere. Algae is the basis of almost all marine life, there is more than 7000 different species of algae. However there’s three types of algae: red, green and brown. 


The Great Barrier Reef is the largest living structure on Earth, and probably because of that reason it’s the world’s most protected marine area and a world heritage site. With it’s breathtaking beauty the Great Barrier reef consists of around 3000 individual reefs and 900 coral islands.
